The fish. In case you’re wondering, the vegetables used in this dish are very local to South East Asia.

Stir fried noodles. Didn’t taste bad.

These were the alternative selections. Kids had the pasta. Tasted good.

Let me move on to our next port – Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia. This was Day 5 of the cruise.

We would also be taking a ship tour as we wanted to go to the Kinabalu National Park.

It was a long drive. The park was 77km away. We had to drive up from sea level to reach the park – 1400m. This was a rest stop, about 30 minutes from the park.

Lunch was at the Sutera Harbour resort, located within the park itself.

Lunch was good. As we were on high ground, the air was very cool.

Are you tough enough?

After a good lunch, we would be on our feet for the next 90 minutes, taking a slow walk on the Silau-Silau trail, and followed by the Botanical Gardens. Very good exercise, after all the good food. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to scale Mt Kinabalu. I made the climb last year; fond (and painful) memories.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this wonderful review. We sail on Legend April 5 after spending 2/3 days on Singapore. Seeing these fabulous pictures has increased my anticipation! Specially liked to see diamond lounge and Park Cafe as enjoyed them on newly refurbished Grandeur. Today in the west of Scotland it is 1degree Celius cannot wait to get to the warmth! Wow! Fantastic journey. Pictures are awesome. We will be on the Legend in December 2013 and April 2014 for Panama Canal. Long time since we have been on the Legend. Lot of changes. Looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
