hott_michelle2001 Posted April 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2013 We were cancelled on for april and rebooked for the end of august. Although much of my family rebooked for june 3 the first sailing out on triumph. With the new damage do you expect to see more cancellations,? Cruizinman Posted April 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Seriously people , I would not even think about booking the Triumph until she has been back in service several months later . If she makes it back to service.
Ilovepj Posted April 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2013 I just read a story about the ship, and it did say it will now be in port longer because of the new damage. And to the other person, there is still 1 man missing, but had nothing to do with the ship.
Tralynn Posted April 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 3, 2013 I think I'd play it safe and transfer my booking to a different ship. It may be harder to do that once the date gets closer. I would think that the new damage would definitely add to the repair time.
big_duck Posted April 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2013 As long as the damage is superficial it won't take long to fix at all. Just cut and patch. The repair can be made while the other repairs are ongoing. If there is underlying damage to the structure, might take longer.
ltcal94 Posted April 3, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 3, 2013 I think it is reasonable to believe that this is the case. I see the ship twice a day on my commute back and forth to work and I am looking forward to sailing on it once it goes back into service. I just wish they made Mobile the homeport for it. CENTEX CRUISER Posted April 4, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2013 Looking at the damage in the photo, and it's location, it looks as if this repair would not interfere with the other, mostly inside repairs they are doing. A different work crew would do this, and as someone stated above, this is a cut, patch, and paint affair. My bet is that this will not extend out of service time. Now only can hope something else doesn't go wrong..
