Victory Itinerary Change?

By going to San Juan, then St Thomas and finally St Martin, there is no immigration clearing necessary since you do not visit a foreign port prior to a U.S, port. If you visit St Martin and then either San Juan or St Thomas (both U. S. ports) the first U.S. port would require everone on board to go through immigration. This is the current case with the Glory..It calls on Nassau first (a non-USA port) and then St Thomas. Everyone on board MUST clear immigration in St Thomas. It is no big deal but does cause some delays. I think you will like the change.

kaycee, i got a letter from Carnival saying the same thing and i was thinking it may have been (since I saw a calendar on some site) that there were just going to be too many ships going to the same islands on the same days. there were going to originally be 5 ships in st. thomas the same day that we were going to be there. by the way i am on the same 8/7/05 victory cruise with you.

Hi,

Thank you for the info. I found out because my travel agent called me. She wanted to let me know if I booked any tours not to worry Carnival would make all the changes. I hadn't though. Chatty hope to see you on the ship. :)

Info I received from T/A, then Carnival, is that any shore excursions on your cruise will be cancelled. You would then have to rebook.

Confirmed w/ our page on Carnival.com. Even the excursions booked for San Juan were cancelled, even though there is no change in that day.

I like the change due to not having to go through immigration in St. Thomas, but you will have to rebook any excursions.
