Comort Inn Questions

I also would like to know the answer to this. Should we just check in and out at the same time? I would imagine we can just charge everything (lunch, drinks, etc.) to our credit cards at the Atlantis and not have to charge them to our room account at the Comfort Suites.

Also, do they supply towels at the Atlantis slides or do we need to take them from the Comfort Suites room?

As always, all responses are greatly appreciated!!!

We were at the Atlantis two weeks ago today, June 7. Just to answer your questions.

Our ship docked early, so we were at the Comfort Suites before the room was ready. Just explained to the desk clerk that we were there to get the perks at the Atlantis. We headed to the Atlantis after getting our check in slip from Comfort Inn. Headed to the towel pick up hut, received our wristbands and towels. Nice white and teal striped ones. Also, went back to the hut when our towels got too wet, just handed in the original towels and were given clean dry ones.

We never went back to Comfort Suites because we were never given a key, don't even know where our assigned room was.

Hope this helps. My family (three kids/mom and dad) enjoyed this outing. Just to let you know, the beach at the Atlantis is under construction, so there is a large wooden barrier seperating the beach and it's breezes from the pool area. It was a little stuffy at times due to the lack of an ocean breeze.

Enjoy your time.

  • 2 weeks later...

Before we went on the Majesty of the Seas, I posted several questions about what to do when we checked in at the Confort Inn as far as getting wristbands for all of us (Mom, Dad and three children, ages 6 thru 15). I was quite concern about this, for I had read you could get kicked out if you weren't wearing a wristband. The answer was: we didn't do anything about it. The check in process at the Confort Inn was really smooth and we were given a card which showed we had checked in and were a family of four. At that point, we were concerned that we were not going to be allowed in the pool area. As we walked from the Confort Inn to the Atlantis and thru the Casino, we went outside to the pool area and there were two people there to greet us. We just showed the card and they let us right in with a big smile: no questions at all. At that point, we decided that everyone but Mom would get a wristband and Mom, since she was not interested in the slides anyway, would lay around the pool area. After going thru some of the slides, we realized that the lifeguards posted at the entrance of each slide were not really checking for wristbands, so Mom was able to go on some of the smaller slides as well. No one ever harassed her about it at the slides or at the pool. Around the pool are, we even saw some people from the Majesty there who were there with no wristbands. They were hanging around the pool, but were not doing the slides.

We also went into the Dig and no one ever asks us to see any wristbands. We ended up doing lunch inside the hotel at the little cafe/bar located to the right of the lobby. All of us managed to eat for about $55.00 (this included a couple of adult beverages).

The only note of caution we have is that Mom got her sandals "taken" (is stolen too harsh a word?): while she was doing a slide, she left them close to the towel shack and when she got back, they were gone; we checked with lost and found and of course, no one turned them in. Good thing were had brought water shoes along. Another word of caution: kids height. Our 6 year old measures right at the height threshold allowed to get into the slides: one of the lifeguards asked us to go see someone who is specially designated to measure kids height and that person gave my son a special wrist band which shows proof of him having been measured and that he met the restriction.

Overall, we had an excellent time. The complex is absolutely beautiful and well worth the $175.00 we ended up paying. Get there as early as you can and leave as late as possible with enough time to do the water taxi.

We did the comfort inn thing last September -- definately worth it -- full use of Atlantis including the Dig and ability to charge food and drink. We checked-out at the end of the day after showering in the room.

I am also interested in the Comfort Inn thing . We are on the Aug 14 Fantasy and travelling with 7 people so I know I would need 2 rooms. One of our party is 1yr so would he really need an armband and has anyone ever split a room with someone?

I noticed the price when booking depends on the number of adults in the room. We do not intend on actually using the room, just want to get the wrist band for Atlantis. Do we need to pay the price for 4 adults or can we get 4 wrist bands for the price of 2 adults in the room? It is a significant difference.

We have a room booked for Tuesday Aug 30th at a rate of $152.00.

If you belong to BJ's wholesale club or Cosco.....that is their member rate.

i am a member of bj's and was wondering how you went about booking the room through them? we are sailing the explorer the week of aug 21st. i was going to to the crystal palace excursion but i don't see it listed when i try to book. so, when you use the comfort inn to the access of the atlantis, i am assuming atlantis knows about the arrangment and has no problem?? also would they charge for a 2 1/2 yr old? what if i had 5 in the room...being 4 adults and my son...2 1/2 yr old? thanks for the help.

I called the Comfort Hotels 800 reservation line.

We stay at Comfort hotels when we travel so I have one of those membership numbers, I asked for that price first. Then I asked her for the AAA rate, AARP rate and any others that she had listed. She asked me if I was a member of BJ's or Cosco. I said yes, and she booked me at the $152.00 rate.

I asked her to read me the list of ammenities at the hotel and she read the list which included " guest privlidges at our sister property The Atlantis ". I told her that was our main reason for going and she said we had the option of using the room to shower, or never go to the room. She said once we check in we can go straight over to the Atlantis and have full access to all their ammenities. I think it even printed on our confirmation. I will have to check at home tonite. If you go to the web site for Comfort Hotels and find the Comfort Suites Nassau, you will see it listed there.

We head out on our road trip Aug 23rd for our Aug 27th sailing out of Jacksonville.

46 days and counting........

So, if the hotel has no availability for the day we are scheduled to arrive, I'm assuming this isn't something that will work for us. Am I correct? Or will they sell a "room" anyway if they know that only Atlantis access is desired?
