Chances of being upgraded from quad to 2 twins???

We are going on Pacific Pearl 8th July and have booked a quad outside cabin for myself, hubby, 18yo daughter & 17yo son. It is school holidays and all quad cabins are sold but there are quite a few twin cabins left. Has anyone ever been upgraded from a quad to 2 twins? (well, I know someone on here was a few years ago). I just thought that maybe if there was a family of 4 (with young kids who need to have a quad) out there wanting to do this cruise.....would they upgrade a familty of 4 with older kids to 2 twins in order to sell an extra cabin?

Luck of the draw. I heard of two couples who had booked a quad being offered two twins, but I don't think it happens very often.
