Halifax and St. John Restaurants

Recommended Posts

My pub of choice for libation and food is Privateers Wharehouse. Located in the Historic Properties on the waterfront and an easy walk from the ship. Very popular. I'm not sure if it even exists anymore but the absolute best lobster chowder I have ever had was at a little hole in the wall place called Mama Camiels which was right next to the Royal Canadian Navy dock yard. If a friend hadn't taken me in I would never have stopped there and would have missed a fantastic meal.

In Halifax we liked Stayner's Wharf, right along the boardwalk. In Saint John we've had lunch at Grannan's (Market Square), Steamer's (right across the street from the pier) and Big Tide Brewing Company on Princess Street. Big Tide has some good craft brews, if you like to experience local beers.
