Shadextrem Posted May 30, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2013 I was on Carnival's website to check for price drops on my cruise in January out of Baltimore. I went to the fare viewer and my cruise is not listed. I tried a mock booking and also my cruise and the one following my cruise are not listed as available. I checked on a couple of other travel websites and sure enough my cruise and the one following are not listed. My booking is still available to be viewed, but should I be worried about this? Vitamin_Sea Posted May 30, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2013 I dont see a cruise on January 19 on Carnival, departing Baltimore. Are you sure thats the date?
Shadextrem Posted May 30, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted May 30, 2013 It is the date according to my booking. I booked the cruise about 3 months ago now. I've even had a price drop on it already. My booking still says it's still active. I just can't find the cruise anywhere else now.
Vitamin_Sea Posted May 30, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2013 I suggest you call Carnival to find out whats going on. I have not seen a cruise on that date departing Baltimore.

When sailings are sold out they remove them from the list.. no sense in seing them if you cant buy any rooms.. i sail on this sunday and my cruise hasnt been visible for like 5 days I was on Carnival's website to check for price drops on my cruise in January out of Baltimore. Shadextrem Posted May 30, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted May 30, 2013 I'm gonna give them a call. I highly doubt two cruises that were listed in January 2014 as of last week are sold out.
webzila Posted May 30, 2013 #7 Share Posted May 30, 2013 FYI. I saw posts on the official Carnival forums in the Pride section where people said they have gotten notices from Carnival saying that the dry dock which was originally scheduled for Feb 2 has been re-scheduled for Jan 19 You should probably call Carnival
Shadextrem Posted May 30, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted May 30, 2013 On hold with them now...I got no emails or calls about changes. If it's canceled, oh well I'll just figure out another cruise to go on. I've got time to change travel plans around, thank goodness.
Shadextrem Posted May 30, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted May 30, 2013 Oh no, if it's canceled I'll have to make a new cruise countdown clock!
jetexpress Posted May 30, 2013 #10 Share Posted May 30, 2013 Same thing just happened to me for the Legend on Feb 9th. No notice from Carnival whatsoever. I think they swapped the dry dock timing for these two ships.
Jimmy Geegitz Posted May 30, 2013 #11 Share Posted May 30, 2013 I would be afraid. Be VERY afraid.
Shadextrem Posted May 30, 2013 Author #12 Share Posted May 30, 2013 Yup, it's been canceled. Now to figure out what cruise I want to replace it with.
Carnival_Brides Posted May 30, 2013 #13 Share Posted May 30, 2013 Anyone know what the second week for the drydock will be (January 12 or January 26)? I was looking at joining a group cruise on the 12th and want to know before I make a deposit. ETA: Ahh nevermind. I looked it up. It will be out of commission for the 19th and 26th. cruzn buckeye Posted May 30, 2013 #14 Share Posted May 30, 2013 this is my thnking on this... they are moving ships about to get the dry dock additions they are doing since the problems they have had recently. All ships are getting these upgrades. I wish they would get the schedule out for the drydocks for all ships so we can do alternative planning if necessary, and not have to wait or worry.
