upgrading/downgrading a cabin booked on board

Would like to know other's experiences changing a cabin for a cruise booked on board. There have been price drops on our cruise but not in the category that we booked. Are you able to keep the OBC and reduced deposit when you upgrade or downgrade your cabin? This appears to be a regular price drop not a special promotion. The booking is directly with Celebrity. We are well before final payment.

We booked a cruise on our Panama canal, I think it was a Pacific Coastal. A few month later, the Transpacific cruise became available. I called and changed our cruise to the Transpacific. Since it was a longer cruise, they increased the amount of our OBC. Later the price dropped and we called and got the price reduction. After our final payment, the price dropped and we upgraded from inside to Concierge class. We still got our OBC and never had to add to the deposit until the final payment was due.
