He was on Adventure from March 1 until June 27, and now he is on his break. His next assignment has not been announced yet.

I was on Indy a few weeks ago. Spoke with CD Leigh. I didn't get exact dates, but he and Activities Manager Frankie will be returning for another contract. when the boat goes to Southhampton he does not believe he will be the CD. He is not sure of his next boat. His first choice is NOT an Oasis class but feels eventually they will put him on one. He thinks Liberty out of Gavelston might be it but not sure. As I find out more through contacts, I will give updates as of right now one more contract on Indy!

Thank you. This is pretty much what I expected, that he would remain with Indy until it relocates, and then he'd be reassigned to a US based ship.

 

It's interesting that he prefers NOT to have an Oasis class ship. Many CDs feel that way because there are fewer opportunities to interact with the people, and there are often multiple activities occurring at the same time so the CD cannot be as visible or as involved in each thing.

 

Anyway, if you hear more about Leigh or anyone else's assignment, please update us! Thanks!

LOL Maggie, I loved the Summit to Bermuda, but we weren't able to swing it this summer. My cousin and I are doing Liberty to Bermuda in October instead, leaving our husbands/"kids" (they are really young adults, not kids) at home.

 

I would love it if you could get some CD info from Topi! Bon Voyage, and enjoy the Summit in November too!!!

What's going on, on explorer? We where on board 29th June and the c.d was Rob McNally. We thought he was rubbish totally not visible. He was like a rabbit caught in headlights. Not funny and didn't come across as a good leader.

He was supposed to be on board from May to October. The latest list here shows Tim Connor from 29th July he was joffs activities manager on Indy last year, lovely guy. But someone has just posted a review of explorer, they got off today and the c.d is Gordon Travis.

So maybe the powers that be though Rob was rubbish too?

Rob was scheduled to hand over to Tim at the end of July, however Rob left before Tim could get there (due to their schedules - Tim was double booked on Brillance- and not due to any other reason), so there was one or two sailings that the Activities Manager Gordon had to take over CD duties in the interim.

Dang. Wish Casey could have waited one more week to return to the Freedom. Had Jamie on Indy last year and just loved him. I've been on the Freedom so many times - I could recite Casey's jokes for him. Sigh.

I am trying to find out if this is a permanent assignment for Jeff or if he is just covering for 2 months until someone else comes onboard.

 

Jeff had been doing some rotations on Navigator, and I thought that he might be on Navigator in November when we are cruising on her....so I do hope to find out as well how long Jeff with be on Grandeur.

Jeff Arpin has been doing 2 month fill-in contracts, so that's what is likely. However, since Mitch is not returning to Grandeur, I really can't assume that what Jeff did in the past will continue into the future. Hopefully, a new permanent CD for Grandeur will be announced soon.
