theaterjunkie1976 Posted June 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2013 Does anyone have any suggestions on a clean, comfortable hotel (doesn't have to have all of the bells and whistles as long as its clean) near the Port of Jacksonville? Preferably one with a cruise and park rate? Thank you!
GTO-Girl Posted June 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2013 Lots of choices around the airport. We stayed at the Hampton Inn at the airport and it was great. I have also heard good things about the Best Western. You will be less than 10 miles to the port......
KroozFoolz Posted June 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2013 Check rates for park and cruise package for the date you need at Jacksonville Plaza Inn and Suites: http://www.jacksonvilleplazahotel.com/parkflysailsave.php We stayed there last month for less than what parking at the port for our cruise would have been. aria48 Posted June 21, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 21, 2013 Crowne Plaza has the park & cruise rate also: http://flsave.com/jaxcrowneplaza How are the beds at the Jacksonville Plaza? I stayed there when it was a Masters Inn before it became the Jacksonville Plaza and it had the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. I'd imagine they've changed those out by now though. I don't remember the bed being either extremely comfortable or uncomfortable so it must have been ok. I know I slept well. I didn't know the property was previously a Masters Inn - I thought I had read somewhere it used to be a Microtel and that is what it looks like it was to me. The rooms are not large but we found ours adequate for a one night pre-cruise stay. We have stayed there twice using their park and cruise package and we have been very satisfied. Yes, was originally a Masters then. (about 10 years ago). Was nice & new then, just very basic like a microtel and the beds were like rocks. http://web.archive.org/web/20030402175443/http://www.mastersinn.com/jacksonville.html Good to see that they've probably upgraded the beds. vacationlover16 Posted August 23, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 23, 2013 We will probably fly in and have been looking at the Jacksonville Plaza. Is there anywhere within walking distance for us to pick up wine to carry onto the ship?
