Norwegian Breakaway is amazing!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I got the weekly spa passes and were prepared to pay for them. My host felt bad that I wasn't having a good play in the casino, so they offered me a massage-I gave it to my son so he could have a chance to experience a spa treatment-he didn't get to use the facilities. My spa passes were picked up at the end because I had a lousy play in the casino-believe me I pd for them-:) But there is no expectation going in beside the comped cruise

Seems like the people with casino comps or suite benefits are having a good time. Meanwhile the majority of folks...
I tend to agree with some of what you said. I have noticed the ones with "excellent" reviews appear to have booked with CAS. Reality is when things are being comped or free they always appear to be a whole lot better.

OP, thank you for sharing your thoughts about the Breakaway. My turn is less than 3 weeks now....CAN'T WAIT!:D

OP lost at the casino, her trip cost her more than it would have had she paid for it, and yet she came back with a very positive review. I think it should count as double. If she won bags of money, I could see your point.

My review being positive had only to do with the Breakaway, but I am not picky and just love cruising in general!!!!!!!!

Macfin-I wrote about the 3 specialty restaurants in my review-I go to those 3 on every NCL cruise and except for my disappointment with the change in the menu at Cagneys-very good at all 3. My son's fav meal on the trip was Le Bistro.

I am an early riser so I never had a line at the Buffet-it was very long and well laid out. I do eat lunch early as well because I am starved by 12-12:30pm. The one time it was crowded for me was the day we arrived home and everyone was eating before they got off the ship. I still was able to find a seat easily and didn't have a problem.

The pool got very crowded about 11-12ish. I got seats on deck 16 overlooking the pool and there were seats up there even around 9am. I loved the reggae band-very nice in the morn. Because they fill the sides of the pool with water-people tended to sit there, I went into the water and it wasn't filled with people-also they were good with enforcing the no kids rule. I would leave the pool after 1:30pm when the music stopped and it was alot of activites and loud music, not for me. It was a small pool and should have been bigger, but having the sides filled with water made it nicer.

I have to agree with this. CAS contacted me about a free inside cabin on Breakaway. I had never cruised NCL, but couldn't pass up this offer to cruise on a brand new ship, on a new line I wanted to try, and out of my home port. I paid to upgrade to a balcony (balcony snob here) and added on dd25, and the fare for the 3 of us came out to less than it would have cost me to cruise on a VIP casino cruise CCL had offered me for the same weekend in August. For the cruise fare I paid, people would have to be stacked up on top of each other at all times, or my cabin not be cleaned for the week, or I come off with food poisoning for my to have a "bad" cruise experience! (and even then I would probably say it was good!!:D)

Slightly off topic...

I've learned from these boards that CAS is Casino at Sea - how does one become a member, and truthfully.. how much do you need to gamble (I'm assuming win or lose) to be qualified to be comped for future cruises?
