Reflection Casino Question

Wow - we are going to be very disappointed passengers on the Summit in October if the slot machines are that bad.

My DH plays blackjack - but also enjoys some of the high dollar slot machines too. We have recently been on RCCL and loved their casino (came home much richer than we got on the ship) and had sailed Carnival a couple years ago and enjoyed their casino too.

We usually spend most of the evening in the casino - someone please tell me if the slot machines are really that bad -

I have not been on the Celebrity Summit, only The Beautiful Celebrity Reflection. We had so much fun on Celebrity that we booked three more cruises, in the coming year. We sail on The Reflection again, The Eclipse for two weeks and then The Equinox for two weeks.

All are as Casino Invited guests.

Well, what I can tell you personally, is the Reflection Casino is the newest ship, and was my least favorite Casino out of 30 cruise ships and casinos we have visited in the last two years. The slot machines were unrecognizable and were mere unbranded arcade games. The slots were not up to Las Vegas Standards from my perspective. The pay tables, which a professional slot player always looks at before inserting cash, are altered downward in a manner that is no where near Vegas standards. I was seeking my usual high entertainment factor that had been wonderful on other ships, including RCCL, which is sooo different than The Reflection by the way, but was truly disappointed. I cannot speak for the Summit as a Slot Player, but in April of 2013, on The Reflection, it was embarrassing to be playing the arcade type slots.

I did win, by the way on the last day, unexpectedly, at a last ditch effort to play. But the entertainment factor was totally missing. I felt like a slot drone.

Each night, each day, the tables were packed, the slots, empty. Everyone loves the Table Games on Celebrity.

I need to switch my preference from slots to tables.

So it doesn't pay you out in coins, sounds a pain to have to cash out and take a paper slip to the cashier every time you want to change machines or am I getting it wrong?

I don't know of any casinos that pay out coins anymore. Vegas, ships and even the Native American casinos moved to coinless machines quite a while ago. And, Celebrity has installed machines where you put in your tickets and get cash, so no need to go to the cashier to get your cash.
