nonprofitgeek Posted June 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2005 We're setting sail the day after tomorrow....YAY!! We can't wait! :) I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what they'll do for the July 4th holiday. Is it even possible to do fireworks off the ship? Thanks for any info. stoneharborlady Posted June 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2005 I was onboard last July 4th, alas, no fireworks. There was however, a beautiful display in the atrium, most of it edible, but not by the passengers. Who does get to eat that beautiful stuff anyway? nancyrg Posted July 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2005 Stoneharborlady: I thought that the buffet for the 4th last year was beautiful, but the counselors in the kids club told my daughter that most of it decorated cardboard and styrofoam & not edible I was hoping that they would cut the big cake & serve it-I am sure someone enjoyed that! mmjbsboomer Posted July 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2005 I just suggested a meeting time/place on our roll call. I hope a few cc members see it before they leave. I'll ask the purser to announce it too. Good question about fireworks! My son turns 15 on 7/4 and will be disappointed that he won't get to see any this year! Oh well, I think the rest of the cruise will make up for it.

nonprofitgeek Posted July 1, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted July 1, 2005 Will try to remember Outriggers as well. We're also a large family group -- 15 of us, including 4 generations and 4 kids under 8. I planned the whole thing so I sure hope everyone has a good time. See you! :p
