July 4 festivities on Caribbean Princess?

We're setting sail the day after tomorrow....YAY!! We can't wait! :)

 

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what they'll do for the July 4th holiday. Is it even possible to do fireworks off the ship?

I was onboard last July 4th, alas, no fireworks. There was however, a beautiful display in the atrium, most of it edible, but not by the passengers. Who does get to eat that beautiful stuff anyway?

I thought that the buffet for the 4th last year was beautiful, but the counselors in the kids club told my daughter that most of it decorated cardboard and styrofoam & not edible

 

I was hoping that they would cut the big cake & serve it-I am sure someone enjoyed that!

I just suggested a meeting time/place on our roll call. I hope a few cc members see it before they leave. I'll ask the purser to announce it too. Good question about fireworks! My son turns 15 on 7/4 and will be disappointed that he won't get to see any this year! Oh well, I think the rest of the cruise will make up for it.

I will try and remember outriggers on July 4th!! :) If not, I should be easy to spot, we will be a group of 19 (my inlaws paid for the trip!) We have 11 kids! I will be the mom who looks most stressed!! :)

I guess thats why we didnt get any, I really thought maybe the crew got to eat it.

Will try to remember Outriggers as well. We're also a large family group -- 15 of us, including 4 generations and 4 kids under 8. I planned the whole thing so I sure hope everyone has a good time.
