Anyone been to Goff's Caye?

Hi - we're considering going to Goff's Caye and just wondering if anyone

has been there - was it nice, how was the snorkeling, etc.

I plan on going there during my cruise from 9/7-9/14, with Sea Sports Belize -- I will try to post a review in this forum once I get back. They say they take you to any number of spots but it's only a small group of tourists (they are taking 5 of us only), so I think if we ask to go to Goffs Caye that can be arranged.

 

There are videos of the island on youtube and some other reviews on here. It looks gorgeous.

We are doing Goff's Caye the end of October but have no previous experience with it. Can't wait though!!:)

we also went with Island Marketing- Belize Cruise Excursions and its an excellent tour!! Goffs Caye is beautiful!

We did it through the Princess. We normally don't do excursions with the cruise line, but this cruise we did. We did not have to tender, we were picked up for this excursion on the ship. The island was small. There was a restroom, an area where there was a barbeque to purchase food, and a few tables set up where some souvenirs were being sold. Snorkeling was done in groups. Beginners (from shore) and advanced from the boat. Snorkeling was great, but most went with the "advanced". Many were inexperienced, and there was a bit of a current the day we went. Next time I'd see which group most were in, and I'd go with the other. ;)

No, they do not.

 

But I am going on Carnival this Saturday on the Liberty. I will be going on Sea Sports Belize - Barrier Reef Snorkeling excursion. Goff's Caye is one of the likely destinations.
