Portside or Starboard on Rhapsody?

Planning to book 8/22/14 for DH's birthday. For those who have sailed the Alaska Itinerary on Rhapsody, which side offers the best views ( planning our first suite!)? In the past I have asked the vacation planner when booking, but it's about 50-50 to get it correct. Also, is aft preferable to midship on this ship?

Thanks!

I've done the inside passage twice. Both were on NCL ships. First was an aft balcony which was amazing. It was one of the last cruises of the season (September). There is no breeze at the aft from the ship movement so it was quite comfortable to be out on the balcony at anytime day or night. Going southbound the big dipper looked like it took up half of the night sky.

Second time was in a mini-suite on the forward port side of the ship. It was the same time of year. There was a noticeable difference in the temperature with the motion of the ship. You never really know where the wildlife will show up so I wouldn't personally worry about port or starboard.

Both were great cruises and I would take either one again in a heartbeat:)
