I've read contradicting info on different websites....Is there a charge to eat at Johnny Rockets on the Exlporer? And if so, is there anywhere else on the ship that hamburgers are free? Thanks.

Yes - JR has a $4.95 pp lunch / dinner cover charge. Hamburgers are also served daily at n/c in the Windjammer Café.

Room service has hamburgers 24 hours, though between midnight and 5am there is a $3.95 charge per order.

 

The Main Dining Room has hamburgers for lunch on sea days.

 

The Main Dining Room has Angus Sliders for dinner every night.

I think the Island Grill on EOS may serve hamburgers and I believe the Windjammer serves hamburgers and hot dogs everyday. All are free.

I don't care for the hamburgers in the WJ. It's totally worth going to the MDR to get them at lunch.

JR's is not open for breakfast on Explorer. So far, JR's is open for breakfast (and free) only on Oasis and Allure.

I know, I wish they opened JR's for Breakfast. If they did that, it would eliminate some traffic in the Windjamer. I actually put that on my Survey. :D

also from what I understand, the cover charge covers as much as you want to eat. ie. if u want 3 burgers and 3 orders of fries you still only pay the 4.95pp charge

Corrrect....but, if I remember correctly, it does include ice cream/sundaes and pie al a mode...and of course all the hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and, oh those yummy onion rings!! Go hungry...well worth $4.95 :)
