I'm looking for some nice, good thrift shops in either Nassau or Great Stirrup Cay. Hubby and I like thrifting and want to do this on our cruise this month. We have been to these ports about 3 or 4 times now

I'm looking for some nice, good thrift shops in either Nassau or Great Stirrup Cay. Hubby and I like thrifting and want to do this on our cruise this month. We have been to these ports about 3 or 4 times now

 

In Nassau, the only Thrift Shop that is not located in a shady area is the Salvation Army on Mackey Street (31 mackey). You will need a cab, and have them wait or come back for you. Cab Fare is likely around $15 for 2pp. (OW) and is outside the tourist area.

 

I have to tell you that I have dropped off many times here, but it's very limited. You could "browse" the entire stock in less than 10 minutes.

There are no thrift shops on Great Stirrup Cay - it is a private island owned by the cruise line. There is a small straw market where you can buy Bahamian souvenirs.
