Just had another thought .... if they spent $ to ADD ducktail to MAGIC ... and ducktail is not a NEW idea ... why wasn't a ducktail applied to DREAM FANTASY during construction?

I believe they have them, especially looking at the photos ET posted previously.

They are just "built in" DT's.

And if so, they made use of the additional space above rather than having an ugly tail!

Can anyone who has sailed on the Magic since the addition of the duck tail tell me if this update effected the hidden (secret) decks on 7 and 8?

Did Disney remove these 2 hidden gems?

The secret deck is gone on deck 7. Aft verandas on deck 8 are a little bit smaller. Deck 9 aft Cabanas outdoor seating enlarged a tad bit too.

Just wanted to say, as someone who knows next to nothing about ship design, especially as it pertains to what goes on below the waterline, this is a fascinating thread. Thanks for all the new stuff I can bore my wife with on our next cruise!
