Personally I always prefer rooms sandwiched between rooms on other floors (when possible) or above venues that won't be used at times I anticipate sleeping.

I have a Promenade view room booked on Freedom for next year (not the lifestyle cruise) because it was on super sale at the time I booked and the cheapest on the ship.

You can look at the deck plans on royal caribbeans site or Google cruise deck plans to come up with various sites that will show you the plans. Best to avoid being underneath the pool deck or avoid being situated right above or below a bar if possible.
