We will be arriving in BA International AIrport and need to get to the local airport for flight to Iguassy Falls. What is the best and fastest way to get there? Are there shuttles at the airport or do we need to get a taxi?

Manuel Tienda Leon provides both a shuttle and transportation by private car.

(see link provided by neiveplaya).

There are several other private car companies with kiosks just as you exit customs. These include VIP, World Car and several others. Prices are slightly lower than private car service from Tienda Leon.

A third option is to take a blue and white cab from Taxi Ezeiza. Their kiosk is located in the main arrival hall after you exit the roped off area surrounding the customs exit area. Just keep going straight ahead after you leave go through the customs doors. There is a picture of their kiosk on the web site

The shuttle runs fairly regularly but if your time between flights is somewhat limited, I highly recommend taking a private car from one of the services mentioned. The price for a car is not that much more than two shuttle tickets.

The one option you should never try is taking a cab from the curb at the international airport. Cabs from the taxi line are outrageously priced and grabbing one from the curb can be downright dangerous. note: this applies only to the airport. I take cabs all the time in town, just not at the airport.

Do you know if any of these options use larger vehicles like vans, etc. We are a group of 10 w/luggage that need transportation to the Sheraton Libertador hotel. We don't have to all be in the same vehicle but maybe 5 people per vehicle. Is this feasible?

Several of the private car services have vans available. Fees are higher than for a sedan. Sorry, I don't know the exact amounts.

After you have gone through customs and have your luggage, you will go through doors and turn left there are people and cubicles of taxi's who can help you. Very easy. We had Argentina Pesos, which we bought from AAA travel to be able to pay for taxi, tips, etc.. You pay at the cubicle and the lady used a special phone for calling the driver, he came up and took some of our luggage and away we went, no problem, we were on the road right away. At that taxi stand they will tell you if there is a shuttle to another airport. Mary S

The stands just outside customs are private car services called remises, not taxis. I mention this because if you ask someone in the airport where to find a taxi, you might be sent another direction. The taxis have either white/blue or black/yellow color schemes. Don't take a yellow/black cab from the airport.

All the services at the airport will take dollars, so there is no need to arrange for pesos ahead of time. (see numerous previous posts about how to get the best conversion rate for dollars to pesos on the blue market).

We will be going from the Domestic airport to the international airport. Would you say the same info holds true going that way?

Thanks.

Yes, I am sad to say that the same information holds true at the domestic airport. Taking a taxi from the line at the domestic airport is like playing Russian roulette. You have a one in six chance of being ripped off.....

Take the Tienda Leon shuttle or better yet book transportation from one of the private car (remis) services inside the terminal, near baggage claim.

You can take a taxi or go to the booth on left after you go through door after you get your luggage. I am thinking it was approx. $40 US dollars. You pay at the booth and the driver comes and takes you to his vehicle. Very easy, we were going downtown to our hotel at Florida Ave.
