Tram Ride

We will be in Anchorage in May 2014, a day early before our HAL land tour and cruise. We would like to do the Aerial Tram at the Alyeska Resort. I don't see any tours or other transportation to the resort unless you are staying there. Any ideas on the best way to get there, taxi, bus, rent a car, or are there tours I missed seeing?

Just rent a car for the day. It is a lovely drive on a nice day as the Seward Highway runs along Turnagain Arm from Anchorage to Girdwood. There will be some pullouts on the right as you drive south. On a nice day there will be some great photo opportunities.

Agreed. You'll be glad you did. But don't just go as far as Girdwood. Go on down to the Portage area. There's a lot of do there.
