Question for anyone who has done British Isles Cruise

I would like to spend about 4 days in the french or English Countryside after the Cruise. any ideas, hotels and travel arrangements and times involved to get there would be appreciated.

 

Haven't been to Europe in about 10 years. Last time was on the cheap with kids. this time I would like to stay in Nice(Not super expensive) hotels.

Check out the Britain Ports of Call board here on cruise critic. There are lots of locals (especially John Bull in Southampton and TowncarT in Liverpool) who are very gracious about sharing that kind of info. By the way, the BI cruise - which we did last August - is one of our favorites!
