cvpends Posted January 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2014 Is it possible that there are "secret" cabins for single cruisers on the Breeze that are less expensive than the obvious (1A, etc.)? If so, how would one find out about them and go about booking?

sjcruiser Posted January 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2014 There are no single cabins, but if go over the itineraries and prices you can probably get a 1A, an IS or another category cabin for less than the normal going price. It all depends on when you want to go, and the availability of cabins. I was looking to book a cruise out of NYC in December leaving either last week or this week, and prices were going for under $239pp w/o taxes and fees. cvpends Posted January 14, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted January 14, 2014 I read somewhere that there are such cabins on the Magic, and you have to call Carnival to book them, as they don't show up on-line. So I thought maybe they have them on the Breeze? I hate for my friend to have to pay double the price when he joins us in June!

So I thought maybe they have them on the Breeze? I hate for my friend to have to pay double the price when he joins us in June! Nope. It would be great if there were, but that's not the case. Not on Magic, Breeze, or any other Carnival ship. Somebody must have been confusing Carnival's newest ship with NCL's studio rooms on their newest ships. Here recently, Carnival has been waving the solo supplement for certain sailings or on just certain types of rooms. For my upcoming cruise, they were offering no solo supplements on just the OV rooms. (Figures! Since I'm in an OV and was hoping for price drops with Early Saver.) However, they will almost certainly not do that for the high demand summer sailings. It will be double.
GottaLuvCruising Posted January 14, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2014 Carnival doesn't offer any staterooms specifically for singles, but you can sometimes find a deal where they waive the single supplement. I managed to book a 1A single on the 2/1/14 Breeze for only $449 (8 night cruise). I check almost every day as I am retired, live in Florida and can jump on board at short notice.
