Thermal Suite or Sanctuary on Alaskan cruise

My husband and I will be cruising out of San Francisco in late May on an eleven day cruise to Alaska. We would like to book either the Sanctuary or Thermal Suite for the duration of our cruise. Which would you recommend?

In May I would probably go Thermal. It could be pretty chilly on deck especially on ships where the sanctuary is in the front. You can try to buy single day passes on certain days if the conditions/need warrant...

Book the thermal suite. We did a late May Alaska cruise and it appeared the Sanctuary was hardly open (as observed from the spa on the way to the thermal suite).
