As long as you are all boarding together I understand it's not an issue. If your boarding separately they will probably confiscate. As long as all of us were there when going through security screening they didn't seem to care how we carried it. We booked 2 cabins of 2 each, and I lugged the carry on drinks for all 4 passengers (four bottles of wine and four 12 packs of soda) in one wheeled duffel bag at the ports of Long Beach, Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
