I was wondering how many cruises you have to have in to become platinum and diamond?

Not # of cruises, # of "days" cruising... platinum, 75 days, diamond, 200

It no longer how many cruises you sail, it's how many nights you sail.

 

After 75 nights you are Platinum, after 200 you are diamond. If you will reach that number on a day during a booked cruise, you get the benefits of the new level for the whole cruise including the days before you actually reach the number.

At 25 nights you get Gold that adds a free past guests party on cruises longer than 5 days. No too bad, free drinks and finger foods.

The past guest party is fun. You get a chance to meet the captain and several of the staff members. I could do without the Carnival MasterCard pitch, though.

You can check under you VIFP profile on Carnival's website and it keeps track of all your past cruises with Carnival and lets you know what level you are at and how many more sailing you need for the next level.

The MC card pitch is not on every cruise. We've been to 57 past guest parties and haven't seen it in years.
