Ketchikan Tender over?

How far is the tender over and is there any stores or anything to do before you tender over?

It depends on the number of ships at the dock. It will tell you on your cruise personalizer if you will tender. On our cruise on the Star, we will tender.

Yes there are plenty of "stores" right next to the dock. It's a 5 minute tender ride.

We docked at Ketchikan on both of our cruises, but I've read about some who had to take the tender. They said it only took 5-6 minutes.

Our Princess cruise in September 2014 also says it's a Tender port. Even though the port schedule just shows two ships in port and shows the Star Princess docking. Princess says we are tendering. Can someone clear up this confusion?
