AmberTeka Posted April 23, 2014 #51 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Why do you have to stick with Carnival? There are many other GREAT cruise lines that cruise to these ports. Because on destinations where Carnival does not compete..it seems prices stay much higher. We sailed on the Legend..an eight day cruise to Barbados, St. marten, Martinique , St. Thomas.......and that is the best cruise I ever took on Carnival....except possibly the three Panama Canal Cruises we took on the Freedom. I totally agree with you. totally. Costa Rica? Please. Martinique. Please. And who wants to fly to Puerto Rico? Just looking at that landing strip makes me shiver. snc_cam Posted April 23, 2014 #52 Share Posted April 23, 2014 If you hate flying into PR, try St Maarten. There are plenty of pics for this airport. :)
Rare jimbo5544 Posted April 23, 2014 #53 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Explains why NCL will have weekly calls there beginning next year. Quite the shame (from a Carnival cruiser perspective). It was one of the most refreshing new ports we had been to in a long while.
Jenna1983 Posted April 23, 2014 #54 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Sad carnival isn't going to Tortola that much. One of my favorite islands. I'm doing Martinique, Dominica, Grenada, St. Croix and Grand Turk in November. Interested to see what feedback carnival asks of passengers on this itinerary. Rare jimbo5544 Posted April 23, 2014 #55 Share Posted April 23, 2014 They sent an invitation to the room, which I found out just about everyone got one, but different days. It offered up an hour of information about fare codes, the best rooms to book, special itineraries (one time), all of the classes of ships and their differences. You may want to talk to the rep on the ship that does the booking of Future Vacation Planning when you board, to make sure you don't miss it. Thanks!
