Just scored Ben and Jerry's Sweet for Dec 2015

My non-cruising friends are so tired of me talking about cruising that I had to come here to share my good news.

 

I just scored the Ben and Jerry's Sweet on the Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston for December 2015. :)

You get two fee coupons, per day, for any ice cream you want and access to the Concierge Lounge. Although, hopefully by the time this cruise comes along I just "might" be at the Diamond Plus level. Then having access to the C.L. won't be an added perk for us in the Ben and Jerry Sweet.

Oh good for you! I was considering it for a 2016 (I know, I know) cruise, but I'll be traveling with a 3yo, so I'm not sure if it'll work for us. Have a great cruise!

We nabbed the Ben and Jerry's for our Indy 2015 fall cruise. Why are there ear plugs required?

Some folks have had trouble in the room with a door next to it being slammed and keeping them awake.

 

That being said, we had the Sweet in March on the Indy and had no issues. Full disclosure, the kids were sleeping in that room and we were in the adjoining room, but they had no issues and the few times I heard anything it sounded just like the door next to your room shutting. It wouldn't have woken me (I am a moderate sleeper).

We were in that suite on the Indy 2 years ago. I really do not recall noises. But I always pack earplugs on every trip

Its not like the room is picked at lottery or auction with people fighting over it.

That cabin is available to book every voyage.

It really is not hard to get, it was always open whenever I checked into it.

We have had it 3 times and the first time we did not even choose it.

It was just randomly assigned to us...

We had it on Liberty a few years ago and never had an issue with noise when we were sleeping. The only time we really heard it was during an event on the Promenade. Since it is the access door to the Promenade Bridge. Watching the Cruise directors staff running in and out for the event was kinda fun.

Congrats! Not to take way from anything you've said or to dampen your excitement, but on Liberty the Diamond Club - which you already have access to - is far nicer than the Concierge Lounge. Larger in size, floor to ceiling windows, private outdoor deck. But with the B & J "Sweet" you will be able to have the fun of experiencing both either way. Enjoy!

The happy hour drinks are nice but the only problem is that they want you to drink them in the concierge lounge.

Which is a pretty boring place.

We wound up leaving and order drinks in a more normal place...

Agreed on boring Concierge. Plus ( maybe my perception) people there seemed very snobby. He I am Diamond I can drink with more normal people.
