Anyone else getting Curacao replaced with Bonaire?

I am on the 1/24/15 Liberty sailing and they changed us to Bonaire, my daughter received an email about the change, I still have not. Great customer service!!

I'm seeing that Carnival Freedom will also be in port the same day (Jan 28), so that maybe the reason, because we only have 1 mega pier, and the Liberty is to big to go into the channel.

 

I'm seeing the Carnival Freedom in San Juan on the 01/28/15.

My booking for 09/26/2014 on the Liberty still shows Curacao as a port we will visit. I am happy for that. Curacao is the reason I booked the cruise!

Well, I booked 1/24/15 Liberty specifically for Curaçao and was disappointed, we are not snorkel or dive people. I contacted Carnival last night to get refund as per their policy on Carnival.com and am being told no refund (booked ES) due to the change being out of their control. I asked if I could switch to another ship visiting Curaçao and was told penalties still apply.

 

This is my first real conflict with Carnival and don't plan to drop the issue easily.

 

I called the day I got the email and was refunded my deposits with no penalty. Per their own policy this seems to be something within their control and should refund your money.

Just wanted to let you know I did not receive an e-mail from Carnival about the change from Curacao to Bonaire. I only learned of the change because I was checking to see if the prices had dropped.

I received a call from a Carnival PVP last night to inform me about the switch of ports, of course I already knew. When I asked why the change, she said that there was too many ships at Curaçao that day...so they switched to Bonaire.

 

Ships don't visit Bonaire that often, so I'm ok with the change. I was looking forward to Curaçao since I've never been there, but that's life, a less crowed day in Bonaire may be what I need :)
