Is 11:45 am too early for flight from Newark?

We will be on Quantum scheduled to arrive at Port Liberty at 8:00am on a Friday morning in mid December. We are Diamond Plus so can get an early departure ticket, and if need be, can walk off. Can we reasonably expect to be at EWR in time for an 11:45 am flight or is this asking for trouble - given the fact it is one of Quantum's first cruises and they may still be working out departure kinks?

IMO yes.

 

Figure it's 9 before you leave the ship, maybe earlier, allow 30 minutes to get through and out of the terminal.....15 minutes to get into a cab...15-30 to get to the airport...

 

I wouldn't do it...others will say go for it, but you probably don't want to spend the last day worrying about making it.

 

Plus lines at EWR can be long, and slow....and who knows about weather, and whether or not the new terminal will be done...
