stilley9 Posted May 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2014 Please bear with me here, as this may be a very dumb question, but i've been googling and can't find my answer. so here i am. my kids have been on a cruise, so i'm not worried about the norwegian sun. but for excursions like: Major Marines Seward National Park cruise or Hoonah Travel Adventures Whale Watching cruise will they have life jackets for my 8 and 5 year old boys? Thanks!
AmberCascades Posted May 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2014 You should check with the vendors. They can tell you whether they will provide them or if you have to bring your own. They would also probably appreciate a heads-up if, for some reason, they have a limited number available for kids.
CruiserBruce Posted May 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2014 The venders are responsible to provide life jackets for all that board their vessels. This is a standard requirement of many countries, and most particularly the US Coast Guard. Most cruise lines require this of any vender they use outside and inside the US. laughing husky Posted May 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) NO.....All boats, ships or ferries in the US are required to have life jackets on board before you ever get near the boat. they will all give you a safety talk....makes no difference how big or small the boat is.....It is against the law to do otherwise...and all would end up in jail....
