Did you try/use any WiFi hotspots on Bermuda?

Did not try to use the hotspots. Kept the iPhone in airplane mode and used it for a clock.

I think they are the old...because I eat the steak and my wife eats the filet mignon every time. Did not see any lobster on the menu, but was available in the MDR.

(Real life, ie working and laundry and cooking, boo!)

 

We missed day 3 in the MDR, but the rest of the days' menus were:

1--Coconut

2--Saffron

3-- ??? Maybe someone else remembers?

4--Pimiento

5--Shiitake

6--Jasmine

7--Pomodoro

 

As far as the service in the MDR went, for us, it was great. (We had first seating, at 5:30pm.) I think it must have something to do with where your table is. We were at a table for 10 (#420) back by the Chef's Table, with the wonderful Ardeth and her assistant Ni. All week we were missing 4 people, so don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. We were usually near the head of the line going into the dining room, but didn't always stand in line. I did notice when we were leaving, that many tables were still eating their main course.

 

We had lunch in the MDR twice, and one time the service was definitely slower, and were basically ignored except when they served the food. (no refills, and I never got a fork for dessert after mine was taken away with the main course dishes.)

 

We had breakfast every day in the Windjammer, and yes the scrambled eggs were usually cold. ;) The chef made omelets were good, but took a good 15 minutes of waiting in line. There was usually a second variety of scrambled eggs available, it changed every day. Bacon, regular sausage, turkey sausage, chef-cut ham. I had a hard pancake, but thought the waffles were OK. They had them in warming trays with napkins over them, to try to keep them as fresh as they could, but.... All in all, we were able to find enough to eat. :)

For those who were on this cruise (June 6th), did you receive the survey to your email yet? I haven't, and am hoping it comes soon. Everyone made such a big deal about filling it out within 7 days. I double checked at guest services when on board to make sure they had my email, so I'm surprised I haven't gotten anything yet.

Second-Casino smoke was unreal, is there any where else on the planet where one can smoke indoors any more?

Thank you soooo much for the menu information!! I am glad you enjoyed your cruise!

St George was nice to see, it was just the 4 in our party and he answered any questions we had and would stop to let us take pictures. We went to the lighthouse, old US military bases, Old Anglican Church, Ft St Catherine.

When the Capitol was moved from St George to Hamilton, the Cathedral that was under construction was halted.

After the tour the driver was prepared to drop us back in town to take the ferry back to the Dockyard, we had mentioned that we wanted to go to Hamilton and did not want to take the ferry back and then have to wait for another ferry to take us to Hamilton. We agreed on a price for the 4 of us, and he gave us a tour on the way to Hamilton and showed us where to catch the ferry in Hamilton to go back to the ship. Great ride and commentary on what we were seeing.

We walked around some of the shops on Front Street and had a late lunch at The Pickled Onion. Good Food and Service here just like at the Frog and Onion at the Dockyard.

 

Here is where it get's ugly.

Jerome's mother was waiting with us to take the ferry back over the the ship. It has a high step up to climb aboard. She lost her footing, fell and busted her leg open and was bleeding a lot. One of the ferry workers quickly got the first aid kit, and began wrapping her leg, a nurse who happened to be a passenger gave instructions while an ambulance was called. They told us only one person could go to the hospital and in the ambulance, his dad would go. We were told to get back on the ferry and go back and tell the ship what had happened and they would see that she got back to the ship and if anything else was needed.
