Review of Kotor, Montenegro - Climb to the Fortress

Roothy I hope you find this extra trail. We looked and couldn't find it. Everyone was going up the same way. I stopped at the church and hubby went all the way. We didn't see anything.

 

One note is our ship got in at 7:00 am. Nobody was collecting money that early. Lots of locals on a Sunday morning.

I used the last route in the document attached by Roothy123. There is no one on this path collecting money. I recommend going up using this route and then down via the stairs to get the views. Climb early to avoid the heat. There were s number of people walking down via this route, but I suggest using it to walk up as it is much easier than the 1300 stairs.
