We are going to rent a car from mco and drive to port canaveral .Does dollar rental car have a shuttle from drop off to port. we have done this with hertz and worked out well .dollar has a good rate

Yes, Dollar has a free shuttle to port. We have done this a couple of times. Most car rental companies have shuttles to port when you drop the car off in Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach.

I've been burned by the shuttles to the port before. Sitting in a van for 45' waiting to fill up, then sit in traffic at the port going to three different ships. I've decided it's worth the $10 or so to just grab a cab if the shuttle isn't going immediately.

What I've done is drop the family and luggage off at the port, then go return the car. That way if the shuttle is crowded you only have to get yourself on it, as opposed to your family and all their luggage.

We have been most successful with Budget than any of the others. They are very easy to work with in Cape Canaveral and very quick to get picked up and delivered.
