Be thankful you did not slect the Dawn GV. Just off the ship with friends who shared the GV 14000. The outside is in need of major repair and is badly worn.

 

Star should be much better. Dawn has many problems.

That's too bad the Dawn is worn down. :(. I know the Star is going into dry dock next March, so hoping if any repairs are needed they take care of them then! :)

I've told you several times Michelle. I am not picky. I can easily fit inside any Garden Villa and you wont even know I am there. I pick up after myself and promise to eat all my meals in the MDR. ;)

the villa on the Star is awesome, we had a sail away party of about 50 people and lord did we have enough room,]

 

the hot tub is nice place along with the sauna..

 

 

 

and we enjoyed this cabin jut for the two of us, funny thing was the other villa cabin had only two people as well,

I ask because I'm in 14500 on Dec 7th. A little worried it'll be in bad shape since I'm sure they're not keeping it up too much before dry dock.

I definitely will. You'll be lucky to have it refurbished (hopefully when it's in dry dock) by then.

 

We'll be on the Jewel GV next November so hopefully that will be "easy on the eyes"

Well, this is our first vacation in 4 years, 3rd cruise in our lives, and first time on NCL and not in an inside cabin or balcony. So hopefully we'll wanna cruise more after this😄

Can you be more specific as to what the issues were? We were in OS 10006 in 2012 about a year after the drydock and other than newer carpet and the new white sofa that sleeps two not much appeared to have been fixed or maintained in the room. Saw your other post and a bit surprised the rooms that are only 3 years old are they way some of them are.

We were in the GV on the Dawn and Jewel (sister ship to Jade) and we loved both but they are different.

 

 

 

The Jewel has 1 master bedroom and 2 balcony bedrooms where the Dawn has 2 masters and 1 regular bedroom (no balconies)

 

 

 

The outside area on the Dawn is bigger both in the garden area and upstairs.

 

 

 

I did like the living and dining area on the Jewel better and the foyer area was a nice touch as you walk in. Having the half bath was a bonus when we had guests come visit.

 

 

 

I can actually send you pics of both if you like.

 

 

 

We are currently booked in the GV again on the Dawn just because the week works for everyone : ) Otherwise, we wanted to try the Gem GV.

 

 

 

And we did look into the Haven area but never used it while on the Jewel.

 

 

 

We also have stayed on the Gem Haven and Breakaway Haven but once you do the GV, it's hard not to cruise in the GV : )

 

 

 

You really can't go wrong..... Are you going with a small group?
