Galveston terminal

Should be arriving around 11:00. How long does it take to get to the terminal once we get on Harborside drive. I'm parking across the street so I'm trying to determine whether it's worth waiting in the terminal car line to unload 7 bags including carryons by 2 people or trying to lug all our luggage across the street.

I'm parking across the street so I'm trying to determine whether it's worth waiting in the terminal car line to unload 7 bags including carryons by 2 people or trying to lug all our luggage across the street.

 

It should only take a few minutes to unload the bags at the terminal. Dragging the bags from the parking lot is not a fun thing to do. Enjoy :)

Thanks...not woried about time to unload; more woried about time to get to unloading area once we get on Harborside. Seems like last time ( 10 years ago), it took a tremendous amount of time just to get to where we entered the drive to get into the terminal.

I remember waiting in a left turn lane for a long time, wishing we had approached the terminal from the other direction.

Traffic moves pretty good. There are several more lanes open now since you visited. My guess is 30 minutes or less.

I take I45 which is Broadway Ave all the way to 22nd Street. Turn left to the port on 22nd and this takes you to the terminal. You avoid all traffic on Harborside

What scooter said. Also, much has improved traffic-wise in the past year or so.

We prefer to park at EZ cruise and they bring the luggage on the bus with us. We don't worry about the traffic on Harborside. Works out great. Also, they have a $10.00 off promo if you book by the end of the month using the promo ANYSAIL.
