Caribbean Princess Bow "?"

Does anyone know what the thing sticking off the bow is? It is above the ships crest/seal at the curve of the bow.At first I thought it was like a post with a bow light but it just looks like a piece of metal sticking out. Anyone have any ideas? The captain stands on the doors the fold out of the sides(actually an officer not the captain he is on the bridge) The thing the OP is asking about is at the very point of the bow above the seal/crest. I have no idea what it is but it does look like an antenna of some sorts. I assure you whatever it is nobody is standing on it when docking!

I believe it is a bracket to which a "bosun's chair" can be hung, for maintenance (painting, paint chipping, etc.
