TxStacey Posted July 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2014 Hi Arubalisa, I am looking for a beach with chair rentals, a good bar, and is within walking distance to a casino. Which one would you suggest? We have a large group that I am trying to keep together as much as possible..some want to lay on the beach (girls) and some (guys) will want to be able to walk to a casino. We appreciate any suggestions you have. Thanks!
cb at sea Posted July 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2014 There are casinos right across from the dock....it's easily walkable...about a block. When we went to the beach, we took a cab.....nothing that close to the dock.
TxStacey Posted July 16, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 16, 2014 Are there casinos near the beaches? Im assuming that some of the resort hotels on the beach have casinos..
Arubalisa Posted July 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2014 Take the bus or taxi to Palm Beach. If you reach the beach via the walkway to DePalm Pier, once you reach the beach via the walkway from the street there will be vendors there renting chaises and umbrellas as well as be able to help with watersports. On the north side of the walkway is the Radisson and the south side is the Riu. Both hotels have casinos. Also within walking distance are the casinos at the Occidental, Hyatt and a bit further the Holiday Inn and Marriott. The new Riu Antillas will most likely have an additional casino as well but is not slated to open until October at the earliest. Taxis from the cruise terminal to Palm Beach is $11 each way for a maximum of 5 people per taxi. Add an additional $3 each way on Sunday and national holidays.
