Smoking on the Sillhouette?

We are wondering if anyone knows where smoking is permitted on the Sillhouette because we want to make sure we are nowhere near it. We are in a corner aft suite, starboard, and do not want to smell smoke while enjoying our veranda. On our last cruise on the Equinox we were in the same location, but port side, and we never had a problem. At the time, however, I seem to remember thinking we were in a good location to be away from the smoke as it is usually port side. Anyone with any information? We still have time to change our cabin if necessary. Thanks for any input.

Greetings

I believe the smoking areas on the S-Class ships are all on the port side.

Good Sailing

Tom

Yes they are.

On Silhouette, they were allowing smoking on deck 12, port side, by the men's room. Believe me, I know, I passed through a cloud of smoke a couple of times in order to use the men's room!

Smoking areas on S-class ships (Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse & Silhouette) include the following locations:

Deck 12 (Pool Deck) – Port (left)-side only – outside just forward of the mid-ship elevators

Deck 14 (Lido Deck forward/mid-ship) – Starboard (right)-side only – outside at the Mast Bar

Deck 15 (Lawn Club Deck aft) – Port- (left) side only – outside at the Sunset Bar – This is the area where Cigar & Pipe smoking is permitted.

Deck 5 (Entertainment Deck mid-ship) – Port (left)-side only – outside of the mid-ship elevators

Deck 5 (Entertainment Deck forward) – Port (left)-side only – outside of the forward elevators/Theatre

Note that this is from information provided on the Silhouette in April 2014.

Corner aft suites are what we stay in most times, and we've been port and aft and have never had a problem at all. We do tend to sail deck 10 or 11 so that may be in part why we never smell it. I am intolerant of smoke and I have never smelled it on my balcony. As a matter of fact, you can really go the entire cruise and never smell it - just avoid those 3 areas that have it. And honestly there aren't a lot of smokers on Celebrity, at least from what I can tell.

Q-What is the onboard smoking policy?

A- For your comfort and enjoyment, our ships are designated as non-smoking; however, we recognize that some of our guests smoke. Therefore, cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, lounge, hallway, elevator, or corridor. This policy includes smoking-like products such as electronic cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom, nor on any stateroom veranda. If you are in violation of this policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to your SeaPass® account and you may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard.

Additionally, there is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises Cruisetour products. We appreciate your understanding and adherence.
