Scubagirl Please Help! Shelling in Nassau

We will be visiting Nassau for the day in early September and would like to find the best beach to look for shells. We are willing to take a taxi or bus if the best beach in not near the port. We will be sailing in on Norwegian Sky. Please help with which beach is best and the best way to get there from the port!!

I don't know about nassau, but when we were in Great stirrup cay i found alot of shells.

Found quite a few by the jet ski area. there is a restroom there and in front of it is a tiny beach area. Thats were I found them.

Maybe this is cheating, but they sell beautiful conch shells in Nassau. I got one at Festival Place for $10.

I figured you probably wanted to find something yourself. I bought my conch shell as a gift for someone but it looks so pretty on my book shelf that I think it's going to stay there. :)
