Specialty Dining Package and Shipboard Credit

We will be sailing on the Reflection in November. I am interested in the dining packages that include 4 night of specialty restaurants. Celebrity says that the package can not be purchased on board. If I buy the package before departure, I can not use shipboard credits to pay for them. I have a whack of credit available and with pre-paid gratuities and a premium drinks package already arranged, don't want to shell out money for the package and then look for something to spend the credits on. Any advice?

Is the OBC from Celebrity or your TA? OBC from a TA that you don't use will be refunded to your credit card at the end of the cruise. Just got a $ 339 credit on my card for unused OBC😄

We used Celebrity OBC to book 4 dinner package onboard the first day in April. No problem then.

I was also misled by the info from the website. It says you must book at least 4 days before sailing, which is true if you are booking in advance, but you can also book whichever package you like as soon as you board; staff will be at tables right past the entry way to coax you through the process. Enjoy!
