beachnut41955 Posted August 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2014 I didn't sail on the Starward, but I did sail on the Skyward (her sister ship) two different times.
Homosassa Posted August 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2014 We sailed on the Starward in 1978. Our first time on NCL and the experience was so inferior to other cruiselines we had been on that it was 25 years before we tried NCL again to see if it had improved. It hadn't. ja_martin Posted August 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2014 We sailed on the Starward in 1978. Not sure if you have given NCL another shot, but our first time was in 2002 or 2003. We absolutely hated it. If it weren't for the fact that we were already committed to another NCL cruise, I don't think we would have done another. NCL became our very favorite cruise line after spending three weeks straight on The Pearl. We were treated like royalty. We did three weeks again on The Dawn and I didn't think it would be as good as, or better than, The Pearl, but it was. No one has ever treated us better than how we were treated on those two ships. We had a simple interior room - nothing fancy. We had the very best time with the very best crew (both ships). To me no cruise line is better than NCL. tunaman2011 Posted August 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Greetings I was on her in the late 70's. Was also on Southward and Skyward. Still have an old M/S Skyward T-shirt in my closet. Cruising was so much different then. Good Sailing Tom
Rare BSR Posted August 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 13, 2014 We also sailed on both the Southward and Skyward in the early 80's. Way before freestyle cruising. Enjoyed them both!:)
