Rare philv Posted August 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2014 Just curious. What is the Ft. Lauderdale Caribbean cruising season? I look at webcams on portfever.com occassionally and lately see only one ship in port, the Oasis of the Sea. When do Princess ships head back to Ft. Lauderdale? Technically, the season is year-round in Ft. Lauderdale. Some lines have a ship or two there year-round. Most ships reposition to Europe or Alaska during the summer. This summer was a bit unique in that Princess had a ship homeported there. Next summer, no. September is when ships begin to come back to Ft. Lauderdale. Rare geoherb Posted August 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2014 We sailed two weeks ago on the Caribbean Princess. That ship stayed in Fort Lauderdale this summer. Most of the summer cruises were one week long. In September, it will start sailing more 4- and 5-night itineraries, but it will also do a few week-long cruises as well. The other ships in Port Everglades with us included the Oasis of the Seas, Vision of the Seas, and Carnival Freedom.
