Express Disembarkation Procedure-Same As Royal?

This is our first time on Celebrity. We have cruised with Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. On those lines you could always disembark with your luggage and head straight to the exit. Wondered if it was the same with Celebrity. All I could find was a 7am express disembarkation, but it had everyone meeting in the Normandie first. Anyone with any experience with this?

Generally the Express Walk Off passengers are given a meeting area. This is so that in case there is a delay in the disembarking process they aren't all clustered on the stairs or at the gangway. Once the ship is cleared, they are given the go-ahead to leave.

You will find that there will be a line at 7am (and actually way before that) wherever the disembarkation point is on the ship. They have gotten better (could still be better yet) at making line apparent so late arrivals don't cut in.

 

our last San Juan disembarkation, we were in line almost an hour early (first two in line), because we had no margin for error to make a very early flight. We were in Taxi less than 5 minutes (and were through airport security 30 minutes after card scanned) after they scanned our card.
