Truth!! We live near the Canadian border & have many Canadian friends. We ALWAYS get chocolate when we're there or our friends bring us some when they visit here. It is SOOOOO much better!

 

We live in NH. Whenever anyone we know goes to Canada we ask them to bring us some chocolate. Just as an example if you compare a Canadian Herseys bar to a U.S. Herseys bar, the Canadian one is way better. The U.S. one tastes waxy and blah in comparison. I'm sure they have the edge over the U.S. for fine chocolates as well.

 

Their cookies are way better than ours too!

Visit the Callwood distillery located across the street from Cane Garden Bay beach and get their 10-year aged Rum - Arundel....

In Turkey, the blue "Evil Eye" is a great, very inexpensive souvenir. I wish I bought 20 more. You can get a key chain for very little money. They are everywhere in Turkey and are significant to all religions.

Aix-en-Provence is known for its Olive Tapenade. Our tour guide did not tell us this until the bus ride home. Fortunately, we knew someone else who was on a different bus and they were told on the way to Aix. Also, try the macarons. They were fantastic, expensive, but delicious.
