puggsie Posted October 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2014 Excuse me if these questions have been asked and answered but I could not find a 2014 answer here. Does the casino consider your play to be cumulative from one cruise to the next or do you start fresh with a new players card each time? If it is cumulative, will they automatically issue you your same player number or must you insist? I don't think I could begin to know what I did with my card and I was only on one NCL cruise prior to my upcoming Gem trip. Thanks in advance. :)

rochelle_s Posted October 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2014 The physical card is not necessary. Your points are tied to your Latitudes number so you will not lose what you had accumulated previously in regards to tier status, unless of course it has been some time since you cruised. skiwee Posted October 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2014 Does that count for drink cards too? I usually sail every 12 months and have to start over in points every time. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Fishbait17 Posted October 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2014 Points are good for 18 months for the purposes of accumulating for cashing out at the end of the cruise. They are good for approximately one year for the purpose of pursuing or maintaining a certain CAS status tier. Points for earning the drink card start at 0 for each separate cruise cruise (meaning if you have 1000 points from a previous sailing, you need to earn the entire 1500 points on the new sailing to earn the drink card, not the balance of 500 points). This page may help explain things: http://www.ncl.com/why-cruise-norwegian/casino-cruise/players-club To get the points from your last cruise transferred, go the the Casino Service Desk on your next sailing. Sign up for a new card and ask them to have your points transferred, tell them the last ship you sailed and approximate date. They will contact the last ship and have your points transferred. Do it early in the cruise as it can take a couple of days for ship-to-ship transfer. Robin
rochelle_s Posted October 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2014 Does that count for drink cards too? I usually sail every 12 months and have to start over in points every time. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app If you have a cruise booked through CAS then there should be a drink card waiting for you in your cabin, it will be attached to your players card. If you are not booked through CAS but have a tier level of HOT or higher you will be entitled to a drink card plus other perks. If you are a new player or are at the LUCKY level you will need to earn your way to free drinks on the cruise. 100 points in a day gets you a drink. 1500 points gets you free drinks in the casino for the remainder of the cruise (5 day sailings or longer-- less points necessary for shorter cruises) No matter what level you are at it never hurts to contact CAS when booking a cruise to see if they can offer you anything. You never know you might get offered a free cruise or a 20% discount. :) Rochelle

CasinoCruzGirl Posted October 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2014 I sailed on breakaway last March 2014 and will be back on her this November 2014. Will I still need to go to a casino host about my points? Or will they be there because it's the same ship same year?
Demonyte Posted October 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 5, 2014 They will be there if you have not transferred them to another ship's casino account.
SuiteCruiser Posted October 5, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) I sailed on breakaway last March 2014 and will be back on her this November 2014. Will I still need to go to a casino host about my points? Or will they be there because it's the same ship same year? If you booked your March 2014 Breakaway through CAS, they automatically cash out the points on the 2nd last night, so there may not be any left. You could also have cashed them out yourself. If you didn't cash them out and weren't booked through CAS, the host will be able to get them moved forward onto your current cruise total. In that case points would be there waiting, no moving needed. The account is one for each person in each ship, even if they had to print a new player's card, the account is still the same as on the previous cruise - last year on Jade I got my original player's club number from 2009 on a new card. I did 2 cruises in a row on the Jewel, and still needed to talk to the host to get the points onto my 2nd cruise card. Perhaps it was just a glitch but I knew I had earned 3K points and my card had started at 0. If they automatically switch over normally, that makes more sense. CasinoCruzGirl Posted October 5, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 5, 2014 I'm really more interested in my level of play. Even if I cashed out points do I start at the 3000 + pts for level of play?

Yes you will keep your tier level points if it is within the 18 month period. If you want to know how many points you have before your cruise you CAS PCC should be able to tell you.
