Can anyone tell me if I purchase on board credit, can I access it in the casino without paying a service fee? I'm trying to figure a way as to not have to carry alot of cash since we are traveling a couple days in advance of sailing.

Carry the cash....larger bills are MUCH easier to carry than wads of small bills. The ship can break them down into smaller denominations. You don't want to pay a fee or service charge to access your own money.

To the OP, get some American Express Traveller's Cheques. They'll cash them at the casino cage on the first day (no charge), and you'll have your cash with no charges, and won't be at risk if it's lost / stolen while you're travelling beforehand (Amex will replace).

 

Just make a note / copy of the receipts with the serial numbers, and leave it at home (with a copy with you), and you'll be fine.

 

We do this all the time.
