Just the sides.

Deck 7 is mostly the casino. I'm guessing you mean Deck 8's "on the waterfront". You can go about 2/3 of the way around the ship. Someone measured it recently and made a post about how many times you can walk around it for a mile. Maybe try a search with 678 Ocean Place in the title? We spent a lot of time out there in August. It was beautiful and usually pretty peaceful & quiet.

Actually you can walk all the way around the stern on Deck 8. it is open outside and you walk past the windows of Moderno's and Cagney's

No.

 

The outside promenades only run on the sides of the ship on deck 7. They stop both fore and aft.

 

They are not set up like the Jewel class ships.

 

Deck 8 has the waterfront outside promenade that goes about 2/3 of the way that includes walking around the aft, but stops at the front of the ship.

i was referring to deck 7 it looks like there is a railing out by the life boats

Yes. You can walk outside on deck 7.
