Good cabin choices for newbie?

Cabin 7346, 7350

I booked these two cabins on the Conquest. Do you think it is a good location? Is it too near the elevators? Also what is that huge gray space behind us and beside us? Thanks. If you don't know the answers for all of my questions, You can still reply to the ones you know:P

We usually try to pick a cabin near yours but across from the empty gray space instead of having an inside cabin across from us. You probably need that inside cabin for family member so that is OK We LOVE being near the elevators!! They don't add noise but DO add convenience!

Deck 7 is good because you have cabins above and below you. I have not been on that exact ship but usually the large empty space like that is just empty and there is nothing there.

Hopefully someone will come on here to tell you about that particular stretch of emptiness.

The space behind you would be steps.

 

I like being near elevators...not the laundry. If there is one thing I will avoid, it is the laundry.

 

Good luck, I would go with the one a little further from steps.

I am booked in 7401 for an April sailing. There were only two cabins left on Empress Deck so I didn't have much of a choice. I also like to have cabins above and below me.
